Sixtile is a free hobby game made by one person, Ján Jurdik, a private individual living in Slovakia. It is not a company and it does not earn money: no ads, no purchases, no analytics and no tracking. This page lists everything the game handles about you.
Who is responsible
Ján Jurdik, Slovakia, is the controller of the data described here under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: hello@sixtile.com.
What is stored and why
- Your nickname, the moves, scores and emoji reactions in an online room. They are needed to run the game you join, and other players in the same room see them. Legal basis: providing the service you ask for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- A random player token created when you join a room, so the game knows which seat is yours. It is not linked to your name, email or device identity.
- A push token, only if you allow notifications in the app. It lets the game tell you when it is your turn. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can switch notifications off at any time in your phone settings.
- Technical data such as IP addresses, which the hosting providers process in short-lived logs to deliver the service and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f)). These logs are not used to identify you.
Solo games against bots run only on your device and are never sent anywhere.
How long
An online room, with everything in it and any push tokens registered for it, is deleted automatically 14 days after its last activity. Hosting logs are kept by the providers for a few days.
On your device
Your nickname, the rooms you joined, your solo game and your sound settings are kept in the app or browser storage on your device. They never leave it except as described above. Sixtile uses no cookies. Deleting the app or clearing the site data removes all of it.
Who processes the data
- Cloudflare, Inc. runs the game server. Room data is stored in Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction, so it stays in the European Union.
- Vercel Inc. hosts the website, with server functions in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Apple delivers push notifications to iPhones, only if you allow them.
Cloudflare and Vercel are US companies. Their data processing terms include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for any data that leaves the EU. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else.
Children
The game asks for no personal information and works without an account. Nicknames are visible only to people in the same room. A parent who wants a room deleted can write to the address above.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing. Write to hello@sixtile.com with the 4-letter room code and your nickname, and the data will be removed. You also have the right to complain to the Slovak data protection authority, Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava (dataprotection.gov.sk).
Changes
If the game starts handling data in a new way, this page is updated first and the date at the top changes. See also the terms of use.
